I looked for the Sea Dragon and the Bushido, but no luck on either of those designs. I did , however, find the Deceiver VR-1! A unique design; I'd definitely give this a shot in one of my lances.

Here's the VR-2 model; same source as the VR-1. This could definitely give a Warhammer or Marauder a run for their money.

reminds me of a under-tonned Flashman. Good design though, I run something very similar on my upgraded P-Hawk

Thank you very much, dear sir.
I really quite like this one - it only weighs 55 tons. It mounts an AC2. It is still really good!!
Did you find that amongst your HeavyMetal files? Was there any fluff included?
I am now really curious about getting some of these magazines into my paws.... _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

You know, I don't think I like this one anywhere near as much as the standard variant. Sure, it mounts more armour and heat sinks, but the overall firepower isn't greater. And it lacks the novelty factor that made the first variant so interesting. Besides, the first variant does have enough armour (just) and heat sinks (also just), so really, it's not worth it! Especially seeing as this one is more expensive by some 70 pts!
Thanks again, mud! _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

You can get the mechs from Rick's site in the files section along with some from Battletechnology, Future Wars, and others as well. All done in HMPro format and if there was fluff they have the fluff.

The mech has these problems...
Arm mounted weapons are most useful in very heavily armored designs where you can use them to protect your back arcs, or in lighter designs where you depend on movement for defense, and the arm mounted weapons increase your firing arcs when strafing.
By putting the lasers in the arms on this mech, you risk losing your weapons fairly quickly. In another words.. A torso, or an arm will kill your weapons.. and you don't have the movement or armor to resist alot of shots.
By the way, originally when the clans came out with their omnimechs, and the weapons seemed mostly relegated to the arms, the Clan mechs were nothing outrageous. Later designs that imbedded the weapons in the torsos make their mechs much more survivable.
It isn't a bad mech though.. kind of interesting as a support mech.

Are you looking for the mechs from Future Wars as well?
Cause the Bushido was in one of the early issues of FW and I posted it awhile back on Rick's site and I believe here.

Yes, I'm looking for the FW 'mechs also. BUT: the Bushido was definitely published in Battletechnology. Issue 18. I know, I have it. Just not with me, for the next period of time....
It had quite a backstory - why does a 3025 'mech end up in an issue that is set in something like 3053/4? Well, in the early teens of that magazine, there was an announcement, calling for the people who submitted approved designs, but where their names were lost. The Bushido was one of those 5 designs. And by the looks of it, it was the only one where the designer got back in touch with the publishers! So really, this is a design that *could* have been released with the late single-digit Battletechnologies (set just before the 20-year jump). A nice little machine, a 75-tonner which is like a hybrid between a Hatchetman and Black Knight.... With more armour than either!
