How exactly does the credit system work? Does the Administrator have to approve or issue each credit gain? I've never seen this kind of system before, and I'd like to know more about it (more than what's in the FAQ, anyway).

The FAQ says that posts are worth one credit. I've been posting all over the place, but so far, no credits have been...well...credited...to my account. Thus my question.

Give it time. A post which gets you credits must be considered... I think it's "substantial," but it might be some other, similar word. Anyways, it must be reviewed by two moderators and found substantial, and then you get credit for it. Stick with the same "week or several" rule that you use for 'Mech designs. Everything doesn't get done fast around here, but it does happen eventually. Often you'll have long period of minimal activity, then sudden spurts. Remember, the mods aren't getting paid - they do this in their spare time. (And we thank them for it!)
Edit:
Just as an example, the last posting credits I got were January 14th. I've made quite a few posts since then, and eventually I'll get credits for them.

Right now most of the mods are preparing for TotalCon, so it's a tad slower than normal.
