I GM'd a Mechwarrior campaign where that happened once...of course, I encouraged the guy who was playing the Steiner liasion officer to do his best to run the ole Company Store routine on them. After the company commander figured this out, the liasion officer allied himself with a former lance commander who was disgruntled with the captain (and who also was particularly intelligent....he'd managed to lead the unit into an ambush one week when the guy playing the commander couldn't show up for the game....which is why the captain made him a former lance commander the next week). Of course, the liasion betrayed him as well and offered the slot to one of the other lance commanders...lots of assassinations ensued and eventually the company fell apart. I was particularly impressed with the guy who bribed one of the other player's tech to put a bomb under the cockpit seat of his Shadow Hawk. Next time the Hawk took a headshot he used a remote device to blow the whole head, and nobody ever suspected a thing....although there was a lot of head scratching as to why a medium laser took of the 'mech's head. The best part for me was that I didn't even have to come up with any antagonists for the PCs....I just had to spend the week between game sessions on the phone or writing emails stirring up simmering tensions

Callsign:Nightmare was one of the few characters with any tech skills whatsoever. He disabled the power-hungry XO's ejection system while helping with repairs on that particular mech. It never got into play, but it would have been quite a surprise.

That is probably the original version. The latin reader I'm going through is considerably easier than the original Latin, though we are getting to the full-blown stuff (Livy's histories and Cicero's Orations).
Your version, if my notes are correct, is the Genetive of Obligation, the strongest command in the Latin language.
My version was merely a future statement of fact.
