In one corner we have a Centurion CN10-B, with an LB10-X Ac and Lrm 10 with Artemis IV, a medium laser, and rear firing Medium Pulse.Maximum speed of 64KPH.
In the opposite corner we have a speedy Wraith Tr-1, with a maximum speed of 118KPH.A apir of Medium Pulsers and a Large Pulse laser are this ones weaponry, and this has 7 JJs.

Out of principle, I voted the Centurion. Sure, we are talking about the 55-ton Mechcommander variant, but so what? The Centurion is a classic IS design, one of *the* mainstays of any force, as we have decided in a poll below!
The Wraith carries pulse lasers and has an insane movement. It carries less armour (compared to that specific Centurion) and has an XL. Nonono. This was the first step towards the Blitzkrieg....
Back to the Centurion: You really can't fault that variant! It basically is a 3025 variant that swaps the AC for an LB-X and uses the extra 5 tons to bring up the armour and add artemis. It is much slower, but a powerful line 'mech.

The AC5 is a great gun!
On heat, 3025 style: A Rifleman knows no heat.

I also voted Centurion, however this one depends a LOT on terrain and initiative. Because if that Wraith gets a lot of backshot opportunities it's gonna shred the Centurion, especially in a built up area with those JJ.

The Wraith wins nine out of ten, no question. Jumping or running for a +4 every round is a really good defense in any terrain. A ten-hex charge is also a nice thing to try if you feel desperate, like after losing your arms...

All of this is true, the wraith has the advantage, but it also depends on terrain.I personally depend on this Centurion a lot.Its a rugged design and it is the mainstay of many of my forces.

the old centy is tough, i give him that. The wraith might be too agile for the old horse to get him, BUT if the old centy scores a crit on that darn XL.
good luck wraith.

I'm going to go for the centurion here. while the wraith is going to get a lot of backshot oppertunities, the cent is gonna tip off that xl engine eventually. _________________ too lazy to make a sig...
