Well, seeing as this board does use the polls and most of the times there will be some (however brief discussion), I thought I'd end my series of polls with two more weight classes. These include three designs each. Remember, still only debating about the original design, no variants!
The Locust is wonderful! The fastest thing in the good old pure 3025 days (though it shared that honour with two heavier 'mechs that could both jump). Great over land and deadly against infantry. It also looks unreal!
The Stinger also looks good in pictures, better than the Wasp.
The Wasp's model looks nicer, however.
We've had the Stinger vs Wasp debate below, you know I prefer the Stinger. However, as a result of below's post, this really is an excercise to find out how many of you love the Locust as much as I do.
Whoops, I gave up the punchline! Well, the Locust was basically the first model I ever held in my hand (ironically, the first model I ever used was an Atlas.... and the first model I ever owned was an Annihilator!). It gets a sympathy bonus.

Locust. All the speed it needs to dart in, poke them in the back, and run the hell away. If it really gets in over its head, it can sinply turn around a leave the enemy in the dust. _________________ Evil is like a bowl of oranges. Only one, instead, is an orange of DOOM. The speed is nice but I have to say the Stinger is my favorite (big surprise huh). I just love the way it looks. And I do have one that get a bit of an over haul into a very interesting unit.
Dont get me wrong I like the Locust, but my favorite is and always will be the Stinger.

Definitely the Locust. It has a lot more survivability with is superior speed and armor, the Wasp and Stinger aren't fast enough for 20 tonners.

Defiantly the Locust it has superior armour to go along with a considerably higher speed against which the Jump jets of the other 2 is not a great offset .Another thing to point out is the fact that the Stinger and Wasp carry their main gun is located in the arm that can be crited with one shot of the locusts medium laser while the Locust carries it in the CT with full armour protection and can take two shots in the CT front before it is penetrated additionally the 1E variant ( we have been talking the 1V ) with its all energy load out of twin medium and twin small lasers could easily take out one of the other two in one round.

Definitely the Locust. I killed a MAD-3R with one of these once...it was the E variant, with two medium lasers and two small lasers. Of course I got lucky and won initiative five turns in a row...just kept running around behind it, stripped off the rear torso armor on both side torsos, and then hit the ammo bin.

Locust, because it has better armor. The speed is also a plus, but it's the armor that's important.

Wow. The Locust is SPANKING all the others. Can't fault the impeccable taste of the people here _________________ Evil is like a bowl of oranges. Only one, instead, is an orange of DOOM. That orange has a fate to rule over the other oranges with an iron fist. That orange is me.
