PTR-1S Panther
3025 Tech
75 tonner
4/6/0
Armour: 12.5 tons
H: 9
CT: 35
CTR: 10
LT/RT: 24
LTR/RTR: 8
LA/RA: 9
LL/RL: 32
16 HS
Weapons:
1 PPC (RT)
1 LRM15 (LT)
2 tons LRM ammo (LL, RL)
4 Med lasers (RT, LT)
1 SRM6 (CT)
1 ton SRM ammo
Managed to fit everything on torsos. Ammo bins for LRMs in legs with a HS. SRM ammo in head. Nothing of 'value' in arms so armour is down to a min. What I like is that this 'compromise' allows me to max armour on other locations. Weapons loadout is decent and with enough HS to offload all weapons at long/short range depending. Of course for those who are into campaigns, just downsize the 15 rack to a 10 rack and u get to protect the arms.
On second thoughts this does look like a cross btwn an Orion and a Zeus
Pls critique.

Why the worthless arms? You can't even threaten someone who gets behind you, and the arms aren't soaking up enough damage before the side torsos get it.
The weapons load is great for that mech size, but I wouldn't use this particular machine unless I had no choice.

Why do u worry abt someone getting into yr rear arc? Push the initiative and make him worry abt his rear. _________________ Nuke them \'till they glow and shoot their asses in the dark

Prolly because your design only goes 4/6/0 so you're bound to get an arse hit. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

unless he is intending to face units with similar speed, he will get over runned by back biters.

Even with combined arms it is possible to get over run. People like me will somtimes use the ultra fast buggers to run past a screening force just to get a one turn back shot every few turns. Have you ever tried to hit a mech that jumps 9 hexes?
