First up is the Bandersnatch BNDR-TD. A very nice mech with dual LB 10-X as main armament.
Facing it we have a Wraith TR-1.
The terrain is 2 maps.
South one has 2 huge (up to level 5) mountains heading north and south with valley's to either side and down the middle.
North map is mostly water, with a few sparse trees and some large hills.
The Bandersnatch starts at south edge, the Wraith at north.
The pilots are: G/P
Bandersnatch 3/3
Wraith 2/2
Who would win? Why?
In a few days I'll post who DID win, and Seraph keep ur trap shut since you know

I've got to agree...a Wraith with an elite pilot would be extremely dangerous. It's one of the munchiest 'mechs in the game even with a green pilot.

The Bandersnatch may as well hole up in a cozy heavy woods hex and keep dropping Improved Thunder ammo in the hex the Wraith is in as well as the hex in front and the hex behind.
Take at least 3 tons of cluster ammo for your AC10's and make the wraith sprain his ankle and die the death of a thousand paper cuts.

Its tough to say. The Bandersnatch could get lucky with its ACs, but a well played Wraith should come out on top, especially in the mountain terrain.

The Wraith baring mistakes should easily take the match. Her superior mobility gives an unprecidented edge even before the pilot is declared to be better by 1 in both categories.
The water does favour the BanderSnatch though. But that can be dealt with by proper movement.

The twin LB-X10s are death incarnate no matter how good a pilot you have. Floating criticals are fun!

I hate the munchkin Wraith. I still think it would win.
With those guns and that pilot, it will be impossible to miss at close ranges. It won't have trouble at all closing. Any water slowing it down to the point of a crawl will also cover the whole 'mech, making it untouchable in the moments of its greatest weakness.
Had at least the pilots been equal, I would've thrown in my lot with the Bandersnatch (which I much prefer as a design).

If you don't think you can with that duel in either mech I don't want you in any unit I'm in.
On second thought, every unit needs someone to empty the trash and clean up the grounds of the base.

I personally think the wraith, it's kinda munchy... but the Bandersnatch has a chance, some good hits with the LBs can make a world of difference.. and i got to agree with going for thunders on the LRMs...
