Okay Sin City opens in about two weeks, it has one hell of a cast, Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba, just to name a few.

I plan on seeing it, loved the graphic novel and Miller is an excellent story teller.

What you folks think about the movie and the choices made as far as the actors and actresses go?

Who plans on seeing it?

Well, I don't know the comics (shame on me - I am a comic freak! I tend to stick to Disney or French comics, though....), but this is the one movie I'm looking forward to most this year.

Those visuals are just perfect. Yes, without me knowing the source material. But I hear it is a labour of love, always a good thing.

The cast is wonderful! I don't really know the female cast apart from Rosario Dawson (always been bleh)and Brittany Murphy (always been fun), never caught on to that Dark Angel thing. From the sound of it, the whole female cast must ooze a lot of sensuality, to put it politely. Right on!

And the male cast - wow! I don't know about you guys, but I love Mickey Rourke. I know he gave off a really sleazy image in the last decade or so, but the films I've seen him in, well he takes you on a ride. In the good sense.

Bruce used to be great, but has been very so-so recently. So I'm hoping that Hartigan is in the John McClane league.

It's been said on AICN that "Frodo is dead". Elija Wood apparently plays one of the scariest baddies in quite a while, and is convincing in it. That is soooooooo cool!

I totally dig Michael Madsen, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan.

Finally, the violence in this one is meant to make Kill Bill look like kiddie's bed-time story.

Really, what can go wrong with this movie?!

Frank Miller's comics is perhaps the best entertainment to come out of the US after D&D. It seems the movie will be a blend of several of the albums, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm certainly going to give it a chance once it reaches a theater near me.

I'm interested in seeing it, the art direction looks really cool, even if I'm not normally intersted in or know about comic books.

So, what's the verdict. It's been out for three days in the states now, what is it like?

Saw it Sunday night. Excellent movie. Graphic, but then again so is the series it was based on.

The actors really did well in their roles and the mixing of modern and "classic" elements made for an interesting and mood setting feel on the film, at times I thought the movie was in the 30s or 40s, then the setting would show a more modern time frame.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars and will be adding to my list of movies to get on DVD.
