"Mmmmm..... Beer."
After a rash of drunk-driving incidents (including many fatalities), the civilian government in a particular region instituted stricter liquor laws; the laws are now so strict that many resturants and stores have decided it isn't worth it to sell anymore.
So now the players have to choose: the over-priced but well-stocked Class Six at the base, the local swill sold at the few remaining bars, or moonshine.

Real men drink anything. The roleplayers will set up a destillery and make moonshine.

You mean one of the tech doesn't have a still yet? Sheesh. That's one of the first things my CO looks for. There's always some ole coot that thinks he can do it better for far less cash. It's usually someone in technical or mechanical support areas. When found I don't shut it down but make sure I've got a couple medically trrained insiders to keep watch to make sure they don't try to cook something toxic enough to hurt them. Then I've got troopers on sick leave and no one to fill in.

Hmmm, moonshine. This sounds like a familiar scenario to me....
Total Con anyone?
In one of the games I'm in, our unit has its own 'Vodka Truck' which we bring with us on our campaigns. It's basicly just one of those big tanker trucks with a tap on the back of it.

this reminds of when i used to B'Tech we had a couple of charcters who were a bunch of drug addicts. we were in a dropship on our way to some planet we had a poker game going on and these guys are smoking dope. by the way one of them was an areospace pilot who had smoking his dope in the cockpit. kind of made interesting for the control tower when we were on the surface. _________________ A wise man speaks because he has something to say.
