Well, as I mentioned in the Bar and Grill, I had my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday. I don't know if anyone else has had this procedure done, but I do have a question:
How long does the pain last?????

I only had one out, but they had to drill away some of the jaw to get the {CENSORED} tooth loose enough to remove. It took about 3 days for the ache to finally go away.

Had four pulled in High School.. Played in the State Soccer tournament 3 days later and split every stitch that they had put in my mouth after taking an elbow....
Spent the next week in rather tough shape.

Yeah, I got all four removed. I think the upper right one needed some extra digging, as that's the really swollen cheek. The doc says that the swelling SHOULD (used liberally) peak tomorrow. I hope so, i want to be able to chew and brush my teeth again!

Actually, I could eat the same day, albeit very gingerly. I lived off chicken broth for a couple of days..... Wasnt the most exotic fare , but it kept me going......

Crybaby, A week at most. If you keep sucking at them- and pulling the scabs off- more like a month.
All 4 pulled in one day, about a week of mush and I was good as new.

I should have mine pulled. They're just in the way when I brush my teeth anyway.

Yeah, a week off work to fully recover, and squishy food for that time. Currently slurping down a breakfast of chocolate milk and yogurt. I did make the mistake of driving into town yesterday. Due to heat and pain, I am impressed that I lasted for six hours, and made it home in one piece.

A week off? sheesh, kids...
I had 4 wisdom and a front tooth pulled at once. Hurt like hell. Gave me tylenol 3 for the pain but it made me sick so I just used regular tylenol. Pulled on saterday, back to work on monday.
Not that I'm a tough guy, it's just my work wouldn't pay me for time off and I'm poor so no time off for me.

Honestly, I don't remember. But it didn't last me for very long at all. And that was all four of them.
I was eating mostly-real food the same day, once the numbness wore off. It wasn't easy, but I did it.

I guess I must be some kind of savage I have had a number of teeth pulled at various times only had pain stong enough for pain killers for a day or two and still ate what ever I damn well felt like.
