Well part of the reason for my long absence is I have been galavanting about the world. I was in Singapore and noted they have a strong gaming community there. More towards the GW stuff (might be the British influence) but decent AD&D and some Btech. A lot of mecha based stuff was there. Many players were Anglo but others of Asian and mized blood good be seen. I did not have time to game but I came across these stores when I had time to wander around.

One store had a click a mech from the GAMA convention. They will have some weapons pods that are interchangeable thus the bases will be interchangeable. Paint job was weak and the mini was OK, might have been rocking if done in metak. So I am waiting to see what Whiz-Kids is going to do.

AWAD- Gaming Geeks can be found in any 2nd world or better country

Did you have an authentic Singapore Slinger while you were there?

And f*!k ClickyTech. Interchangeable bases or not, it's a bad concept.

Interchangeable? So are the mechs going to customizable?

On a very limited basis. More like Omni Mechs , Only pods are replaced. Like drop SSRM 6 for a LRM pack, lasers, AC. Thus you may get a couple of variants off of the base design. So can you do your own design, no, more like book variants. We will see what WizKids will do.

AWAD- Did a one wheel landing in a puddle jumper today....... winds were rough and I actually had fear for a moment

That sounds like the computer game's idea of how mechs can change weapons and such...

I was just thinking the same thing. You can customize, But it is very limited choice. And you can make your own. That just bites.
