One possible way to go is the BA variant.
This isn't APC, the troops walk with the tank to combat, or they act like scouts before it moves around and the Fist engages any armored target encountered (yes, Panzergrenadiers ).

Bleh, the HGR is overrated.
2 ppc =14 tons and produce 20 points of heat. 20 heatsinks +14 tons os PPC = 34 tons. Not really feasable.

No, you can't have DHSs on vehicles, PPCs (14t) + heat sinks (10t) - ER lasers (2t) = 22t, HGR (18t) + ammo (4t) = 22t. Nothing to gain and the HGR gives it more Lyran flavor.

Sorry, you gain a freedom from ammo dependance plus consistant damage over range. Also the two PPC's allow you to fire at two targets.

It's decent. You can still get the Vehicle Factory in the download section I believe and I think there is one more freeware vehicle maker running around out there too.

3 tons of HGauss ammo is too little.
For the Hgauss at least 16 - 20 shots makes it more viable. Downgrading the Streak to a regular 6 or Streak 4 might be a good idea though.
Nice touch on the BA ! i can imagine the enemies face once he meets up on 2 BA squads with that monster tank.

Okay, the SRMs were downgraded and CASE
was installed to protect the infantry against
ammo or gauss explosion.
As I said before the tank enters the hot zone
with Infantry already deployed (just before
crawling from behind the corner, ...) and
ready to engage the enemy. BA can deal with
infantry and light opposition, and if
something goes wrong the Fist turns it's HGR
on the troublemaker. The HGR can force
piloting skill rolls and gives small penalty to
them = it's harder to fend off swarm attacks
or, if the mech falls it's much easier kill for
BAs.
