Remember that Britain dealt with the N. Ireland stuff for years. They also have that 'stiff upper lip' tradition too. They know that attacks like this may happen, like wrecks on the freeway, and get on with it.
The casualties were a disaster for the individuals and families, but overall actually did very little damage. Heck, I bet some guys were happy for the free day off work due to the transit shut down.
