MegaMek has finally released a new stable version as of yesterday
Version 0.30.0
More info can be found at http://megamek.sf.net BMR Feature List and History.
New version has a LOT of features implemented not available in 0.29.0 stable, such as artillery, and a lot of partially implemented features are now fully implemented. I'm loving it so far, just downloaded and playing with a lotta the new stuff, or stuff that was too unstable during the dev releases to actually use

Very good, looks great.

I wonder if they got rid of the bug where a CPU controlled Vehicle that was immobalised wouldnt 'move' and the game would stay like that forever. Which was a shame as i love vehicle combat. Much more possibilities as far as what could happen.

That would be one I don't know about. I know they fixed a lotta NPEs (Null Point Exception, a nasty error in java programming ) with the bot, and in general. However I don't think vehicles are fully supported by the bot yet because the bot hasn't rceived much work. I know protos weren't as of the last time I checked on the bot, and vehicles only half were. Just look at the AI Readme in the docs dir for stuff on the bot

I can't wait till they implement some form of GM control panel that allows setting pre-game damage usage and ammo depletion

Hmmm...
I wasn't too impressed with MegaMek. Don't get me wrong, it's sweet in that it is CBT on the computer, but it's also not, you know? I much prefer the freedom from the board game, and the fact that you and some friends can just sit around a table and slug it out over a few hours and a few drinks.

I dunno. I'll try this update, and see.

Well, one reason I like it so much is that I've only been able to find 3 other people who play within an hours drive. One 50 miles NE, one 22m west, and one about 45 miles south... so needless to say I don't play much anymore irl.
