Hi,
have you tried the latest/newest version? should be 2.2.0.5
did you install it to another directory other then : c:\program files\cbt editors\vehicle forge
what OS? was there any specific message ?

The erroor message is as I posted it on the above post I have Windows 2000 Professional Edition I am using the one you linked to at the top of this thread
I tried to open it again and the exact wording is:
VCF.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log has been created.
According to the"Read me file" (That will open)I have ver. 2.2.0.4 that is the one in your linkat the top of this thread,

Mo,
the only thing that usually stops the program from running is the location of the files.
can you check that its installing into the default location and no where else.
c:\program files\cbt editors\vehicle forge
if it isn't there, then it will chuck errors up like there is no tomorrow.
also, the only other possibilty is the version of mdac on your computer. it might be a few versions behind and i think mine needs it to be the latest. perhaps check those things and let me know.
also, if you click on the link from the post just up from this one, it will get the new version. maybe uninstall/delete the version you have and load the thing from scratch.

whew, talk about slack...
i've managed to get most of lvl3 weapons and motives working and so far no one from S7 has pointed out errors that cause it to explode !
as to what i've done
Fixed the armour function. No longer will you get stuck if you get a negative amount of armour allocated.
Level 3 Weapons, Armour and Equipment are now added.
Level 3 Motives are now added.
Added a cost break down screen to show you where your money is going.
Added New turret options.
Minor Cosmetic Changes.
I haven't forgotten about the record sheets, so now that i've got all the chassis done, i'll get back to working on fixing that.

okey dokey, version 2.3.0.1 is ready to go.
Changes ver 2.3.0.1
- Added more record sheets. However this is limited to a degree. lvl 3 record sheets aren't quite ready. The weapons will work, just not sure how the mega sized tanks etc will work or the motive systems.
- Fixed missing level 3 weapons
- Fixed an engine problem with XXL builds
