Sounds like Katrina's doing to you what she did to the FedCom.

I personaly think that after last year and the fact that this is already the second one to hit this year that anybody who lives in Florida is NUTS and anybody who has children there is guilty of child endangerment.

You were forced out for every hurricane last year? What part of the state are you in?
Last season's the worst I've ever seen, although I've been pretty lucky hurricane-wise when compared to many. No damage, just fallen trees, lots of rain, and days without power (which was the worst). So far, I've not seen anything more of Katrina than some hard rain and a little wind.

Meh. I suspect that more children in this state (in recent years, at least) have been killed by the scum our judges let out of prison than by hurricanes.
Although apparently two people are already dead in this one.

You gonna send me the money I would need to not only move but get settled in somewhere else? Some months I'm barely scraping by on what I make. Even going back to Texas, where I have family wouldn't help much. I couldn't fit 5 more people in with mom...

I may not have been clear. The damage I refered to was from last year. Im in Orlando so I basically got hit by 3. Community Security made us evac for #4 as well...(names escape me at the moment)
One of Katrina's bands hit us, and it fried my stepdad's laptop...

Well, to make you feel better, the weather patterns up here (Lake Ontario area, Canada side) have been all messed up.
This is the worst summer I can recall in terms of dryness and heat, and yet about 2 hours away, Toronto got one of the worst rainfalls that they can remember. The police were cruising down Young St (main street) on jet skis, and the water on the 401 (major highway) was up to the windshield on a ford explorer!

No one else seems to have noted it yet, but does no one else see the humor of Huricane Katrina knocking over people in a BT forum? _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."

I think Warhammer already made a connection...
It is kinda ironic, though.

Well, its a category 5 now, real monster and New Orleans is on the bullseye. Glad I don't live there. I have a lot of family outside Baton Rouge, but I expect they've all headed north for this one.
