==Overview:==
"A Karnov from hell" was how the Pegasus was described during its first
public viewing. In addition to its 3.25 ton cargo bay (which can be converted
so that it can carry infantry and light vehicles such as motorcycles), the
Pegasus has dual machine guns (which are assisted by a targeting / tracking
system, unlike the Karnov) and dual LRM 5 racks with a ton of ammo for each,
allowing the launchers to make use of different ammo types. 4.5 tons of armor
protect the entire vehicle, which with average speed (its only real flaw) it
needs.
==Variants:==
A bizarre factory variant for the Pegasus involves stripping off all the
weapons and the cargo capacity. In its place is an AC/5 (mounted beneath the
nose and between the front wheels), two tons of ammo, and a CASE. A cousin to
this variant has an AC/2 instead of the AC/5; the extra tonnage is filled by a
gun pod beneath each wing that has a machine gun and half a ton of ammo.
