I had a thought a while ago, and figured that it would make a good poll question.
With the new Solaris mappack, and the MechWarrior's Guide to Solaris, lots of the original rules have been modified, tweaked, or just plain dumped.
But how many people still have and still use the original Solaris boxed set released by FASA (Amen)? Anyone have a Solaris league going? And have you had any memorable moments playing the game?

Own it but hardly use it. Well, one of the guys happened to buy it used, but I count it as a group effort.
Memorable moments? You mean besides getting perfectly fine mechs killed by machine gun boats? Not really, no.

I use it, but most often for the fluff. Making a short campaign of Solaris mech fights where you have your character and the friend you've drafted just plays the other guy can be fun. When the machinegun boats get old, just use the maps and play by the regular rules.
Just reading the descriptions of the different places and bars on Solaris can give you loads of adventure ideas.

Own the game but I've never actually gotten the chance to play it. However, I have made good use of all the stuff provided in it with my other games. I.E. background info, fluff material, mechs, maps. The set is actually a good source of information that has otherwise been 'lost' unfortunately. Lost being that it has yet to be repeated anywhere else yet. And I must say, I actually like the original maps better than the updated ones. They just seem easier to use.
