The Jethro Tull Christmas Album.
Pure musical bliss.
I only bring this up because, with the passing of the Macy's day parade, the Christmas season has finaly official began, contrary to Toys R Us head office, who started pumping crappy Christmas music through our store November 1st. Grrrrrr...
Anyway, I don't know if anyone has heard this album, or know who Jethro Tull is (HINT: NOT just a guy in a band). This album is a mix of traditional roots, with some blues and rock thrown in. Also contains the best version of God Rest Ye Marry Gentlemen I've ever heard.
Anyway, if you like traditional music, or any Christmas music, I'd suggest you try to find this album.

I will have to look for that one.
My personal favorite is from a band called The Crossing. Their "The Court of the King" album is wonderful. It has several traditional Christmas songs from the british isles all played in a Celtic style. It has a very haunting version of O Come, O Come Emmanuel. (side note, Digiridoos go well with Celtic music)

Hmm... That one sounds interesting. I'll keep my eyes open for it.

Manhiem Steamroller Excellent stuff, Rush Limbaugh turned me on to them he plays their stuff all through the holiday season. If you have a radio station in your area that plays his radio program turn it on and listen for yourself. You should be able to find the CDs in just about any place that sell CDs.
BTW if you want to know if there is a station that plays his show in your area you can find a link to his website in my sig and he should have a list of the stations that play his show there.

If you ever have a chance to see the Manheim Steamroller Christmas concert live go!
When I lived in Omaha that was a family tradition to see them at the Orpheum downtown every Christmas. They always sold out both concerts every year.
