I like the idea but I would move at least 1 flamer from the turret to the front and move that MG to the turret. It is a bit slow, but since this really should only be attacking infantry it makes sense. A couple of these would be fun cleaning out forrests and cities. Just becareful with those flamers. Don't get trapped by your own fires.

Could just roll up to the government building and just let the rioters try and depose you. Actually kind of reminds me of the Kurita variant of the Goblin, with the 360 degree MG fire (similarity ends there pretty much).

I like it. However...I'd suggest mounting 2 additional mgs in the turret...however, you'd probally haveta upgrade to a fusion engine...

It's not attacking infantry. It's attacking protesters/rioters. Preferably after cutting off all their routes of escape.

That's the idea precisely. I also made a variant with twin SRM6s in place of the flamers, to take advantage of the Frag missiles.

Not as intimidating. One of the weapons of the vehicle is purely psychological. It's a lot scarier to hear a 35-ton armored slaughter machine rev its engine a few times before it starts to advance (and, you know, kill everybody).

The Kurita Goblin packs a pair of SRM-6s, as well (for those not familiar). The benefit the Goblin has over this evil piece of work is the 3 ton infantry bay. Yes, it's more expensive and lacks the flamers, but it can serve as an escort for the despot himself while surveying the countryside, or serve to deliver your secret police to make people disappear. I think that this machine and the Kurita Goblin would make a nice combination for any despotic ruler. Add in some light mechs, like Firestarters, and you could really sow terror.
Another nice weapon alternative would be grenade launchers with gas grenades. Don't have to use lethal gas, just something debilitating. Or just smoke and watch them flee in terror as your shock troopers march out of the "fog".

Edit- I know the original is tracked. Wheeled to save weight and cost...not to mention the fact you can have some sick wheel scythes with the leftover 20KG
