Hey all my friends, I was just wondering what everyone around here does for their faction. I am a tanker, but I am curious as to what you all do, be it drving a Mech or being a tactical advisor. Tell me what you do, and why you do it.

I am a mech pilot I am also freeborn the son of a labor Caste junk collector and a teacher When not driving a mech I still collect scrap. Some where down this board are several posts with a more detailed history of me. I spent time as a bondsman to a Goliath Scorpian Seeker and ended up becoming a bondsman to an outer periphery scrap dealer. ( you will have to go to the Fiction section and find the thread "Outer Periphery Realm Outland Alliance" to understand how that could have happened.)

Mech pilot (not too often), my Dragon stands outside, bureaucracy general (unofficial title my unit gave me and forced me to the role of quartermaster)
But now I was sent to Solaris to watch over traditions when two Kuritan soldiers decide to settle things with honor duel... I have seen only two duels so far... if there wasn't B&G than I would call it boring duty, but I know that I must serve the Coordinator, no matter what he wants me to do.

I started as an officer in the Rasalhauge area in Kurita space. Bad judgement and a few mistakes followed by dumb luck brought me to Solaris as a pilot in the games.
I was a pilot for several of the Draconis teams. After several years I was moved towards training the new pilots. My last match was in my personal mech. Unfortunately I lost the mech to a fusion plant meltdown that I barely excaped from alive. I have been trying to save money to get a new mech in the games but have been unsuccessful. In the meantime I have been permanently moved to a desk in the Kurita stables. While this still gives me a chance to associate with pilots and mechs, it is just a depressing reminder of my younger glory days.

I, Ralgith t'Mayasara, am a Mech pilot. I command my own mercenary battalion, The Blighted Sun. I also work part time here at the Bar & Grill. This is simply to support myself between contracts of the full unit, I am one of the few commanders who trusts his subordiantes enough that I don't feel the need to go on a mission when my Command Lance isn't part of the contracted force. Seraph and Warhammer (they are both officers under my command) are both very trustworthy and capable. I trust Seraph with my life, have on many occasions. If I cannot trust a man who through his mech in front of a PPC that would have burned right through my cockpit, thus saving my life, who can I trust?

Yes, and Cain is very reliable also, he just hasn't been the ranking officer on any missions yet
OOC: Would be cool!

I've been serving in the House of Davion for twenty years. I started in tanks, took a trip through OCS and through the Federated Suns Cross-training program got a Valkyrie on a probational basis. Two campaigns later, I was promoted to command of my own company and traded up to the Whitworth parked outside.
I was on Port Royal for the begining of the Counter-Attack with Victor Steiner-Davion, though I was assigned to garrison duty (third wave). Which is not to say my tour there was dull. We did some experiments with our mechs, upgrading the chasis and trying some modulations with the weapons.
My claim to fame is the Daishi Star that attacked the ammo-dump my company defended. We were in mediums (50 was the heaviest) and dropped the star with salvo after salvo of long range ordinance and eight tons of Thunder LRMs. Lost five mechs, took 5 mechs.
I'm here on extended detachment to field test new battle-field equipment in the Arena. I also dabble in communications and targetting, hence the conference I attended last week. _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."

And despite my best attempts, will not leave Davion employ and come over to my unit
I'd love to add that special Whitworth and SaberDance's skills to my TO&E.

Seems most of the people here are mech pilots. I, as most of you know, am a tanker commander in the 23rd Dragoon Cavalry. I signed up in time for Operation Serpent and Bulldog, and have been serving with them ever since. My company is the 4th Panzer Company, AKA "Dagons Dragoons" after the company CO. We held off several stars of Clan Jade Falcon vehicles on the world of New Exford till our mech pilots could get their rigs running....good thing we had a lance on patrol or we might have been eliminated there.

OOC: Or you could chance it all and spend all of your credits on the lottery...thats what I did
Kalo entered the bar and grill. He took out his revolver nad passed it, along with his saber to Lurch before taking a seat in a quiet corner. He kicked back his chair and put his fet on the table, lighting up a little cigar. A look from one of the patrons drew a response.
"Habit I picked up from my bondsman. By the way guys, I am sure you have realized I am back."

*Para suddenly appears out of nowhere with a large bucket of water, which he pours on Kalo's head. Para then points to a upside down no smoking sign above the bar.*

After a long absence a clen cut figure strolls in, he waves at Lurch and keeps going with out breaking stride. Dressed in a Black combat parade outfit with pale blue grey piping, Stinger walks up to the bar and orders a tall white russian. On his shoulders is the insignia of a Mech Pilot and Vtol Pilot.
He looks around for a bit and aproaches the new commer. "Howdy sir. Devlin De'Rail, Call me Stinger. I'm a Mech Pilot by trade, spent my earily years in the Davion Heavy guards, started off in a Stinger, and eventually moved my way up to an Awesome. After retiring form active service I joined the Mercenay company "The Knights of Chaos" and captured a Devistator. That was 5 years ago. Now I am in charge of the unit. When we got large enough we absorbed a vehicle unit and now run 3 companies of mixed armor and mech, with some VTOL support. Much like Ralgith I to trust my people enough to send them on mission's with out having to be there full time. A few contracts ago we hooked up with a VTOL plant that makes the Apache Helocopters. We have been testing them ever since. I actually earned my wings so I could pilot one and have since given my Mech over to my second in command.
