This mod is a bit simplistic, but fulfills a certain tactical need the Robinson Rangers face on a regular basis very well.

The VLK-QG was developed by the Robinson Rangers as a Panther hunter.  The
traditional Valkyrie's reliance on LRMs often dictated a defensive stance
against one of the Rangers most common opponents, the Panther.  A large laser
gives the Valkyrie the ability to engage the Panther at close range with a
good chance of success.

I'm not sure if this mech is able to hunt down the Panther. I think that too often the hunter can become hunted. I just can't convince myself that this armament will be enough to kill the alley cat

It can get under the Panther's PPC and has a significant advantage in mobility. That's probably enough to make it a fair fight.

Just hope that you'll make it through that PPC. 4/6/4 should be enough to keep you from closing for a while, especially when you play cat and mouse game in the city.
