Sorry Zarqawi, no virgins for you.
It's 4 am here and for an hour I've been watching Fox news announce that the military finally bagged his ass with a bombing attack. Confirmed dead.
I wonder if the pilot who got him with a bomb will get the 25 million reward?

Most likely the people who turned him in INCLUDING SOME FROM HIS OWN ORGANIZATION will get the reward. And as good as this news is two other things also happened there today which in the long run might be even better news. Today the Defense aand Interior Ministers were appointed so the government is now complete on the same day that it's worst enemy assumed roon temperature... It is a good day indeed for Iraq.

The same day the gov't was completed? And the guy was bombed, not captured? Doesn't anyone think that stinks?
No, humanity is better without him. I just find it funny how he's found on a symbolic day and killed without any effort at capturing him.

It is a little to "neat" for my tastes.

| I waited a bit before I responded because I wanted to get more info...The day it occured appears to be coincidence the reason he was hit when and where he was 1) after tracking him for weeks the had him for sure in a place where colateral damage could be minimized. 2) there were several other high ranking individuals present as well 3) they had a limited length of time that he was going to be there. and he reason for the air strike was 1) there were not enough ground forces in the area to guarrantee containment at the time. 2) Already having made it clear that he would not be taken alive it was decided not to risk a firefight that would result in friendly casualties and possable colateral damage.
Finally he was infact alive when found and US forces did infact give first aid and he died dispite their efforts to keep him alive. Alive he would have been a much better trophy that deceased. and the timing is in fact bad in so much as it is a distration to the other events and it would have been more desirable to have the events separatly reported for maximum impact. An interresting point most of the Arab news agencies are appauding his demise most Arabs reguard him as WORSE than the US
