==Overview:==
Jethro "Wild Jethro" McCallum is the latest sensation of the Solaris dueling circuit, despite not having yet fought a single match. As the heir to Jim McCallum, president of the Lyran manufacturing giant McCallum, Inc, Jethro has used his family wealth and connections to build an "unstoppable juggernaut of doom".

Although at loose ends for years, flunking out of several prestigious universities, causing endless legal troubles for the family, making bizarre public statements, engaging in many highly-publicized bar fights, and spending exorbitant sums on partying and fast vehicles, Jethro has finally found a hobby that his family and corporation support wholeheartedly. His previously disapproving father has encouraged him to take as much time off from company duties as needed to enter the dueling leagues. Some observers suspect that Jim McCallum's change of attitude toward his eldest son may be due to his recent diagnosis of terminal cancer; others say that the return of his younger son, John, from studies at NAIS has softened his outlook. Whatever the reason, Jim has offered every financial resource necessary to send Jethro to Solaris, and John has taken charge of the Rebel Yell design team.


==Capabilities:==
The Rebel Yell is a powerful quad designed to intimidate any enemy; it is specifically designed to resemble a tiger. This appearance is furthered by the addition of 'ears' to each side of the head- actually powerful speakers that can blast loud music or Jethro's trademark battlecry of "Yeeeehaaaa!" State-of the art mechanical jump boosters take the image further; Jethro can pounce on an opponent in a tiger-like Death From Above attack.

The Rebel Yell's weaponry is assumed to be unstoppable. Clantech Heavy Lasers and a massive autocannon and SRM rack were obtained at great expense on the black market, and are augmented by a giant missile launcher bought from directly from House Kurita. Each weapon is covered by a glass sheet so the opponent can "see the whuppin' a comin". A single machine gun is supplied with ample ammunition (also covered in glass) to "keep them pointy-headed refs outta my hair" and possibly to keep Jethro's less attractive fans from mobbing him after each victory. An open cockpit gives Jethro an excellent view of the battlefield, as well as any attractive females in the stands, although a canvas top can be unfolded in case of rain.

Armor was formed from specially hardened plates and concentrated in the legs (for Jethro's favorite 'pounce' attack) and on the back to prevent jealous opponents/fans from shooting him in the back as he struts off the battlefield in triumph. Speed was deliberately kept low at Jethro's request ("runnin's for pansies!") and double heat sinks were deemed unnecessary, as was extra ammunition ("it ain't like ah'm gonna need more than one shot anyhows!").

In computer simulations (designed by Jethro's brother John), the Rebel Yell has been invariably successful. Typically an opponent is paralyzed by fear, and unable to move or fire, giving Jethro time to close and administer the coup de grace. Other simulated opponents have surrendered, ejected, suffered heart attacks, or simply committed suicide. Needless to say, Jethro is confident of similar results in actual combat.

An anti-aircraft targeting system was added when Jethro expressed a desire to "knock a warship straight outta orbit!". In addition, John incorporated several other customizations such as: reshaping the neurohelmet to look like a cowboy hat, removal of the ejection system in favor of a full wet bar, removal of all heat level warning indicators to prevent distraction in battle, and a key ring fob that acts as a NARC beacon.


==Deployment==
"Wild Jethro" is currently in transit to Solaris to participate in his first live match, amidst more excitement than any first-time contender has ever generated. Not only have gambling houses been forced to close betting early, after receiving an unprecedented number of wagers, but McCallum stock has more than tripled in value.

An epic battle is brewing- I can't even imagine what th bookies would say about this one.

The battle footage could probably be usd in commercials, like the Atlas v. Grand Titan. I don't know what they would be selling. Insuranc, maybe?

==Overview:==
Originally designed by Kali Liao, the Deathtrap design exists solely to
eliminate troublesome prisoners in highly publicized gladiatorial combats.
Typically two prisoners (selected by Kali for political, propaganda, or
personal reasons) would be chained into the cockpit and offered a full pardon
if they prevail in combat.

Construction of the mechs has been halted due to widespread protest.

==Capabilities:==
Despite having a torso mounted cockpit, the mech boasts a full-head ejection
system- allowing the expensive ECM and AMS equipment to be recovered in case of
ammo explosion. The Stealth armor and AMS can _only_ be controlled from the
head by a competent technician; a pilot would need to exit the cockpit and
climb up the front of the mech in order to disengage the two systems.

At least one ton of inferno ammo is carried for each combat, and all ammo bays
are locked before combat begins. Again, the bins may only be unlocked manually
from outside the mech.

==Deployment==
Currently the only Deathtrap in existence is co-operated by the Sian Judiciary
and the Sian Battlemech Repair School. Should th mech ever see battle it will
be rebuilt by the students as a training exercise.

==Overview:==
Built to loose. That is the only thing that may characterize this machine. The
Explosion was built by Helmar Valasek for his cousin who particularly
displeased him. He gave him a mech and orders to pacify a slave uprising in
the tunnels of nearby mines. Of course that the mech was cosmetically
improved to look like a MG monster with heavy armor and the cockpit displayed
many nonexistent weapon systems (and was fitted with hypersensitive ejection
trigger). Helmar also forgot to tell his cousin that the slaves are actually a
gathering of captured Stainer veterans and that they are armed. The fight was
going according to Helmar's expectations. First hits set off the ammo and
smashed his cousin to the ceiling. With two tons of MG ammo following him. The
resulting storm of bullets than killed thirty prisoners and wounded many
others. Helmar was quite satisfied and in a stroke of good mood he offered the
remaining slaves an opportunity to join his army. They refused and so the mine
was closed and some chlorine added to make the prisoners happier. Pirate king
was in a good mood that day.

It's bad. It's really, really, REALLY bad.

It _still_ might win, however.

I can just picture the battle: Deathtrap and Explosion start on opposite sides of the arena and waddle towards each other. Deathtrap runs in order to put Explosion in his front arc and fires a round of infernos, building up 14 heat on the first turn. Deathtrap fails one of his ammo explosion checks; infernos explode, setting off torpedo ammo and consuming cockpit in center torso. Explosion cheers wildly and starts victory lap, but never finishes because infernos set off his ammo, too (no heat sinks!).

Truly an epic match.

Actually as soon as the explosion will start to cheer the pilot will be ejected (did I mention that the ammo container are located below the jets propelling the cockpit? )
