Yes, you have to sign up for the store.
Yes, it is free.
No, you won't need to enter a credit card number when registering for the store.
When you get the e-mail confirming your order go to your account page that lists your orders and the link to download the .pdf will be there.

I'm not into the MW:DA (or whatever its called now) universe, but free canon mechs is an offer too good to pass up.

| It looks to me more like fluff custom mechs that people made up and submitted to BattleCorps for that Mech creation contest they did a while back. As opposed to being the 'Unique' mechs from MWDA.

They are legal for use in official tournaments...that would make them 100% official.

Remember, BattleCorps is an official BattleTech website with everything it does getting official licensing from WizKids. As such, any BT items that come from it are considered Canon. Someone dies in the fiction, it's Canon. New designs are created, it's Canon. So, these designs, as chihawk stated, are 100% official and legal. That was the whole point of the contest.
