I'm trying to round out a team for my campaign.
The team in question is a hunter/killer unit intended to target vehicles and infantry. Currently, it consists of a Savannah Master and a 3025 Commando. The strategy is that the SM spots for targets and pins them in place so that the Commando can get in close enough to use its weapons.
We're looking at getting a third unit for the team. I'm thinking of either going for another hovercraft, going for a VTOL, or going for a light mech that has LRMs.
What would you suggest that I have the third unit be?
Thanks.

a VLK-QF. for some reason, i think this Valkery would be perfect in a hunter/killer roll against tanks and infantry.

Your other option could be a light medium. Either a Vulcan or a Clint come to mind, and I agree with Vagabond, The Valkire would be a perfect addition.

An Assassin would give you a well rounded 'mech that could do a lot in such a team. You'd get a few LRMs, plus some direct fire stuff. Not too ammo dependent either, unlike the Valk.
If speed isn't a factor, a Panther would fit in nicely. Or you could go with something like a Clint or a Hermes if you want speed.

Isn't there a Locust variant that sports 2 LRM 5's? not armored as well as the others mentioned, but the speed of the unit could help offset that. _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....

That Locust is the LCT-1M and it is a staple for newbie players I run. it is easy to kill and gives them a moderate challenge to catch it.

Anti-infantry and anti-vehicle? Forget the LRMs and bring in a Firestarter. Machine guns, flamers, medium lasers.
The Vulcan is a good choice too.

The Clint is a death Trap, stay away from it. It has no armor over its ammo bin.
THe other suggestions seem pretty solid though.
