Let me start by saying that I am not connected with this site in anyway, so this is not a sales pitch. But there is a seller, Draki, who also has a website (draki.net) who has many new original mechs, including original Marauders and Warhammers. He even claims to have replacement Missile Rackets and Search Lights for the Warhammer.

I always wonder about sellers who have lots of "silver knights" with no boxes? Where does it all come from?
If it came from a personal collection, you'd expect to see paintjobs. If came from a store or a warehouse somewhere, you'd expect them all to still be in the blister cases.
That leaves the third option...that they're third party knockoffs. As long as the quality is OK, I don't really care...I've got a couple of Marauders that come from ebay which I suspect to be knockoffs, but the quality if fine, so I don't really care. Of course it is technically illegal to sell them.

Those are recasts, and knockoffs. Check out the forums on Sarna.net. Had a good discussion there about it. same seller too. Some of them look fairly decent, though. _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....

That explains why they're so cheap LOL. I didn't look into it that close, I was busy doing other things.

I have a good buddy that makes copies, recasts, whatever you want to call them. He has a business that makes copies of human anatomy items so he has what is neccessary to do it. It is not that cheap, even for him.
Cheaper than buying them from the store but not a 60-75% type savings. Also some minis are much easier to do than others. And some just never come out right. It is great for popcorn common tanks and low end tech Mechs that are cheaper by the company. This way you have lead but does not kill the wallet.
But not all will be recasts. I problably have 60 minis in pieces or just popped out of the blister I have done nothing with. Always the best way is to look for the markings at the bottom of the stand.
AWAD- way to many minis to paint
