Has anyone here got the new Total Warfare rulebook and does anyone have any particular comments on it? I bought it the other day and I quite like the overall design of the book and the much needed rules clarification and rebalancing.
There is nothing really major added, which is a blessing in my opinion, they have simply brushed up the rules.
Anyone else have any comments?

They have redone a lot of things and made somethings less effective. One change is AMS and the other change is infantry and how they take damage etc...
Overall it's a decent rehashing of the rules and does as you said clear up things. Now if they could simply combine the vehicle rules into one set, like they did with the Aerospace rules, then we would have everything in a couple of books.

More like reorganized and refurbished.
It is very positive. Really tried to cover almost every possible situation in the examples. Also looks very professional which helps in the long term. Old players may come back.
Integrated all the various combat arms. Did a good job with the balance issue. Feel just a tad to many charts. Also which they had a PDF of just aero, it is mixed in everywhere.
Need a PDF file of just those charts and blown up. Also by combat arm type. So if you do just Mech battles you can ignore vehicle stuff.
They did upgrade the game some. The goal was to give more options and make tournaments go smoother.
AWAD- Well worth the $40

Which vehicle rules aren't covered? I thought that they had done everything in this manual except for Space Naval Vessels. Must go back and look yet again....

The rules for support vehicles aren't there. I feel that those rules should be merged with the combat vehicle rules and we have one set of constrution rules for vehicles. Plus any changes to how they (SV) work in the game should also be merged thus avoiding confusion and having to jump back to the CEG book. Maybe they will do this in the TM book that is due out, but one would have thought that the SV rules would have made it into the Vehicle section of the TW.
