| I used to love playing Paranoia! and watching all my clones get turned into yellow paste......Any other friends of the computer here? I had heard that the game was being released again under a slightly different title, but nmothing beyond that.

Yep, i know good ol' Alpha Complex. Many an afternoon was spent enjoying that fine game. (read: hosing over my buddies so hard, they swiped all my Mt. Dew....bastards....)
As far as I know, theres a Paranoia XP in existance. I havent seen it, yet. mainly because I cant convince any sane players to actually try the game. They are so hung up on their characters 'surviving'..... its kind of sad, really...

| I rememebr one particularmission, part of our gear was a wooden box labeled Insulation Suits and nothing else. The electric train we were riding on had stopped,a nd one of us had to get out to see what was happening. the door opened on to a live rail. SO my industrious and too smart for his own red britches troubleshooter said: I'll put on the insulation suit and step out, thus protected from the current" don't ask where a red level gained such knowledge, it would be treason. So my guy donned the garb, stepped out, and instantly exploded into black crispies and feathers. As the insulation suits were down filled for insulation from the cold....not electricity. ten minutes in, and lost my second clone. Ah.....those were the days.

The best one i can recall was when my brother's character tried to eat a hand grenade. It went off just as he reached for it, blowing him up and that section of the floor down. Was a large hole in the floor that dropped about 3 levels as it was an empty storage chamber. His new clone arrived by transport and was dropped off.....into the hole...
He went through 4 clones before someone had the great idea to stop the transport before it reached the place of termination. Which enabled the rest to watch HIS clone get brought in as well. 
(We had a rule that when your clone died the computer brought your replacement in to as near the point of termination as possible without leaving the city. Helped me keep the group together as much as possible as they had a habit of wnadering solo as often as they could.)

| I always liked the clone delivery system for when a mission took one Outside. Basically loaded the clone into a shell, and fired towards the coords of your last clones position. lots of room for fun and play with that.

Ive had too many hosejobs in that game to keep track of them all.  Needless to say, Ive pulled off some beautiful scams that have had everyone mad enough to hang me, and Ive been so totally shafted that the only thing I could really do was sit there and take it.
Why dont we have more games like this, nowadays?
