I've been out of the loop for awhile, so I guess I've missed a few things. I was reading in a TRO a while back, and kept seeing designs for Hovercraft over 30 tons, super-heavy planes, airships, and other goodies. Exactly what did I miss? Where are the construction rules for these?

I think you are refering to the Support Vehicle Rules. These are rules that allow you to build bigger vehicles then the Combat Vehicle Rules allow.

The rules are found in the Combat Equipment Guide and there is a TRO out that gives examples and such of the different Support Vehicles that are out there.

I don't know about the rest, but the oldest version of the rules I have is an older copy of the BMR circa 1998, and it sets the limit for hovercraft at 50 tons, and no heavier.

Out of curiousity, was there a cap at 30 in the past? Now I'm curious.

I think he is refering to the Support Vee rules that allow VTOLs over 30 tons and hovers of 50 tons...

As far as I knew, VTOLs normally capped at 30, and Hovers capped at 50. I have not seent he support vee rules, so I can not comment on those. Though I would liek to see them. Super heavy assault copters would be fun...

The Support Vehicle rules in "Combat Equipment" do allow you to construct following vehicles:
Wheeled up to 160t
Tracked up to 200t
Hover up to 100t
VTOL's up to 60t
Airships(!) up to 1.000t
Fixed Wing planes up to 200t
Satellites up to 200t
Rail vehicles up to 600t
and Naval vessels up to 100.000t (!!!!!!!!!!!!) Very Happy

All types of vehicles can be constructed as "Small Weight Class" from 100 up to 4999 Kg! (Motorbikes, Mini-VTOL's, normal cars etc.)

But be careful! Its difficult for support vehicles to get more than only a minor amount of armor!

Uhmm isn't tracked heavier the 200 tons since the 200 ton limit was there via MaxTech?

Umm.... No! Very Happy
Its just the official Level 2 Support Vehicle! (Support Vehicles are very different to Combat Vehicles in case of armor and weaponry, so if you want a real tank better use the old combat vehicle rules (which are still valid!))

Error on my part. It should have been Hovers @ 50 and VTOLs @ 30.
As someone who fields a motorcycle gang for recon work, I've got to get that guide.
