BattleTech Vehicle Technical Readout
VALIDATED
Type/Model: Bradley M2
Tech: Inner Sphere / 3060
Config: Tracked Vehicle
Rules: Level 1-FA, Standard design
Mass: 25 tons
Power Plant: 125 Nissan Fusion
Cruise Speed: 54.0 km/h
Maximum Speed: 86.4 km/h
Armor Type: Standard
Armament:
1 PPC
1 SRM 2
Manufacturer: (Unknown)
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: (Unknown)
Targeting & Tracking System: (Unknown)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Not only is this vehicle named for an ancient Terran armor commander, it's
patterned after his namesake tank.
The Bradley is designed around a fairly unconventional idea: a battle tank
that carries its own infantry support. Few other units do so.
A PPC in the turret allows the mech to threaten even light mechs, and the
weapon's range means that the Bradley can provide fire support for its
infantry. A single SRM 2 allows for firepower against light vehicles and
opposing infantry.
The Bradley also has a unique feature in that there are specially-designed
hatches on the vehicle's sides and rear; these hatches allow the infantry on
board the Bradley to fire their weapons at any attackers. Testing has shown
this to be lethally effective against opposing infantry and marginally
effective against battle armor and light vehicles, as the tank's armor must be
breached to get at the infantry inside.
==Capabilities:==
Game Rules:
If the infantry inside of a Bradley is a rifle / laser, flamethrower, or
machine gun unit, it can fire out the hatches in the sides and rear of the
vehicle. Infantry with support weapons cannot use these items unless they
first disembark.
Up to one squad of infantry may use the hatches at one facing at any given
time.
Targeting the infantry inside the Bradley by using these hatches is considered
to be the same as making a called shot.
==Variants:==
A version known as the M6 Linebacker is in existance; like its namesake
vehicle, its weapons load-out is more in line with anti-aircraft duties.

For those that don't know, the real-life Linebacker retains the machine gun the Bradley has. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M6_Linebacker#M6_Linebacker _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Heavily armed for a 25 ton tank but only moderately armored.
The infantry capacity is very limited though.
The original Bradley was (is) more of an armored and armed "infantry delivery system", armed, but not that armed!
I would drop the PPC for a medium laser, more speed and a bigger infantry compartment. But i think all that came out of my mind just because of the name!
If i ignore the name i think a large laser would be fine to transport a full platoon.
Otherwise it's not a bad design but i would have other priorities! _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' After some archive dig
My Langusta, even if heavier, looks pretty similar to your suggestions Rudel!
It may be interesting to try light PPC instead of the LL to gain tonnage. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

I kind of like it, kind of don't. The idea is there, exectution is a little off.
It is light, decent speed, big gun.
So that means I kill it first. That PPC is an attention getter. The 13 points on the side will get you mauled. Not fast enough to get away.
Also with 1 ton or infantry it does little. 1.5 tons means at least 2 squads. So a lance could drop off 2 platoons.
So if you made the main weapon a LL, drop the SRM2 to some sort of MG (Total Warefare has new Lvl1 MGs I think) Add more cargo and a little more room.
Or just have the LL and more cargo and see if you can add a little more armor.
The fluff is acceptable.
AWAD- like I target Panthers, and slow light Mechs with big guns first
