This is an idea I had for an infantry support weapon. I created it for my campaign, as Karagin can attest to.

Tech: C (the mechanism is a simple bolt action; the round is the most complex part)

Availability: F (exclusive to those soldiers within the AFNN and those working with them)

Legality: F (Considered "black" technology; giving it to outsiders w/o permission is akin to treason)

Damage: 1 BTech damage

Special: Armor-Piercing ammo; a 9+ on 2d6 means that the round did internal damage.

Weight: Due to its size (???), a person needs a 7 strength to carry a completed Jackhammer; otherwise, it must be broken down into two pieces or mounted on a vehicle to move.

Ammo: Single-shot, bolt action. Gunner must make a seperate gunnery check (target: 6 on 2d6) in order to work the bolt. Success means that the bolt is worked during the movement phase; failure means it takes the entire turn.

Cost: ???

Cost per round: ???

Range: ???

Thoughts? Anyone willing to help me fill in the gaps?

Thanks.

No, he is using the military's termology in that instead of saying sniper or anti-vehicle weapon, they call the bigger sniper rifles, ie .50 cal and up Anti-material weapons system. They think it sounds better and doesn't confuse folks.

So what he has is a weapon that would normally be used against vehicles, bunkers and the like. It can be used against infantry personnel and other very soft targets as well.

To be specific, when I unveiled it I had a two-man team use it to silence a Hover APC and a Blizzard.

In both instances, the team hit the crew compartment.

Then I guess it worked as advertised.
