It is not as flexible as yours but it has a cool mental image. As per BMR (which is used given arty is not covered yet in TW,) arty can be used as Flak. The base is 9 to-hit modified only by attacker's movement and current damage, but remember to add the -2 to all weapons provided by the Anti-Air Targeting as per Maxtech.
i thus get an image of this beast firing A-A Missiles with proximity detonators. Even if you miss you can still hit if it only scatters by 1 hex. 20 damage suddenly filling your sky with a fireball and shrapnel. Can we say, oh shit. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

If using the Maxtech rules for AA Targeting you get an impressive -5 to-hit on Airborne targets. As SD said, it is slow but that doesn't hurt it much if it is intended to sit still someplace.

I like both models. The potential is huge. I imagine a fortress with a parking lot full of these guys. Just think of the scariness of 10 of the LB10x versions. 40 guns pointed to the sky throwing flak. Lots of rolling for crits!! WEEEEEEE

Why the BAP? |
The BAP was there as compromise. It moves slow, so I want it to have something could alert it to enemy units near by, mainly to avoid ambushes etc... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Four LB10-X will give Fighters hell!!
As a defensive unit speed isn't much missed here. Just defend cities, military installations or industries. 32 kph will be enough to get it out of its hangar in time! _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' Well, i just looked over the rules and i'm not so sure anymore. Ya it gets the flak special rule and thus a -3 to-hit but with AT2 LBXs cannot cause as many possible crits anymore.
They added Damage Threshold and removed random crits [roll of 2] but according to the rules in AT2r flak like LBX inflicts multiple 1 pt hits. This means that it will never cause a threshold crit on a unit with more then 10 armor and can never get a random crit.
However, the rules are confusing as it says under the general damage section [air-to-air] that missile weapons deal damage by dividing the attack value into groups of 5pt clusters and rolling for hit location. If this applies to LBX as well, you end up with one 5pt cluster and one 1pt cluster. Giving it some ability to crit [threshold of 4 or less or 40 armor or less] but still lessening the overall effect LBXs used to have. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

You could just use the old rules...after all the point is to have fun. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

As damage threshold is rounded up you will never cause any critical if the target has only 1 point of armor!

We have constructed a series of Fighters and AA-vehicles under the old rules mounting LB-X and SRM. As those units don't have a point any more we decided to use modified rules:
LB-X do their damage in one blow but or determining critical hits the damage is doubled! (LB10-X: 6 damage and crits if it had delivered 12 damage)
The same for SRMs but the real damage is broken up into groups of 4 (as we don't like doing 5 damage with missiles that do 2 damage each!) _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!'
