Yes, yes. GZT is back again. This latest machine is actually a Solaris dueling refit of a 3025 Zeus for the Stonkin Mechs Inc stables.
Basically I took the 6T and removed the LRM15 and ammo, 9 heatsinks.
I made the remaining 10 heatsinks double, replaced the LRM15 for a TBolt 15 and two tons of ammo, upgraded the lasers to the pulse version ( large pl, 1 med pl forward, one med pl facing the rear) and added CASE to the RT for the TBolt ammo. I also added half a ton of armor. Using the remaining two tons I added two extra dbl heatsinks, one in each torso. I think i added it all up correctly. When I can, I will post up better stats and maybe a little fluff too.

Ground Zero was approached by the stable master for Stonkin Mechs Inc about six months ago. The request was for several refits and rebuilds for the more aged machines in the stable, begining with an elderly ZEU-6T that had been scheduled for retirement. GZT accepted the challenge. Here is the first of four refits performed .
Overview
The 'Odin' is a new refit for an aging design, the ZEU-6T ZEUS. No changes were made structurally or cosmetically, but that is so that the surprises all all the more....surprising. ...ahem.
Capabilities
First thing GZT designers did was remove all the weaponry and heatsinks. The remaining ten heatsinks were upgraded to double heatsinks. The PPC was left in place, but the laser weaponry was upgraded to the pulse laser variety. One Large Pulase and on Medium Pulase in the forward facing arc, and one medium pulse tucked under the left torso facing to the rear. The biggest change made the replacement of the LRM launcher for a Thunderblot missle system. This would deal about the same amount of potential damage, but with a single projectile instead of fifteen smaller ones. There are two tons of ammunition for the launcher in the right torso, and it is protected by CASE. Two more double heatsinks were added bringing the total to 12, and a half ton of armor was also added.
Deployment
The Odin variant is currently a one shot project for the client Stonkin Mechs Inc. So far it has performed quite well in the arenas. The T-Bolt and pulse lasers have had the desired effect of catching oppenents off guard.
Note: I tried to submit this for the online TRO, but sadly there are no weapons listing for the thunerbolt missle system. I first read about these int he Tactical Handbook years ago. _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....

Anything in the TH is probably Level 3, which means it hasn't quite made it in yet. I do need to add a lot more of the weapons systems. Or at least the ones that don't have special case rules. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

ah, that makes sense. I think it is still a fun variant to play with. I do need suggestions for the other three mechs to be refit. _________________ one by one the rabbits are stealing my sanity....
