I'm not really a fan, per-se, but I thought it was a good movie. I don't think I'd watch it again if given the choice though.

Well, it was a bit infantile for my tastes, but I didn't expect much more than a lot of special effects. No need for me to see it again.

#2 is indeed confirmed, but due to the writer's strike there are a lot of rumors going on as to what may or may not actually take place.

Arcee as a motorcycle was in the original concept for the first movie, only for her to be scrapped due to fan complaints; she may very well turn up in the next movie since her CGI model is already done.
A disavowed plot treatment for the sequel mentioned Soundwave, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, a team of Autobots under Magnus' command, and the Constructacons; it's anyone's guess as to whether or not any of them will actually appear.

Yes i thought Transformers was done quite well, i fact i went to see it twice in the theater, and saw it at least 5x on DvD...........I'm now a little burned out on now.
It is definitely worth watching, at least twice to absorb everything that is going on
