While clearing out one of the pantries, mom discovered some boxes of popcorn that are nearing the expiration date. They've been sitting near the back of the pantry for months, due in large part to my being the only one in the family who eats popcorn anymore; Ronin and his wife got me a big thing of popcorn for my birthday, and I'm still working on it.
So the ethics question:
Would it be ethical to serve some of the near-date popcorn to the party? _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

LOL!! I wasn't sure this was a real question when I first saw it, and am still not convince it is!
If you give someone a glass of milk that is about to expire in a day, do you warn them? Probably not... Just server it. Most food is fine well beyond it's expiration date. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Most foods "expiration date" is just a "sell by" date, and are good long after that date...and popcorn would definitely fit into that category. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com
