This came up during last night's game session.
Are there any rules for what were to happen if a bipedal mech were to hitch a ride on a quad mech? _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Treat it as external cargo and use those rules for weapons fire. It would be a tricky maneuver so ask for a high PS roll plus the need to balance every turn. I'd imagine that both mechs should roll PS every turn or fall. Also add PS rolls if either mech falls while with the other. Such as if the Quad falls it may throw the rider or if the rider falls the sudden loss of 20+ tons of weight would destabilize it. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

In standard rules Chi is right. Heck, I think even for a non-tourny rule you'd be REALLY stretching it to say a biped can ride a quad. Last I checked a bipeds legs don't allow it to ride a saddle.

They can't.

*A battle goes on*
*A Goliath riding Phoenix Hawk charges an Awesome*
GM: make a piloting skill roll
Player 1:... oohkay...
Player 2: C'mon...
*Snake eyes land on the table*
Player 1: Drat!
*A five and six*
Player 2: I think I've succeeded...
DM: *Grins*
Both players: What?
DM: With sudden bump the PXH jumps on Goliath's back and since the steed managed to keep him in saddle all the stress went to structure.
Both players: *blink*
DM: *rolls*
DM: I'm afraid that you've managed to break the GOL in half guys... _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
