==Overview:==
When it comes to urban or close-quarters combat, there are a plethora of mechs
available for the task such as the Urbanmech, Enforcer, or Wyvern. But with
tanks, there's no such luck; the few tanks that are meant as dedicated city
fighters are far too heavy for regular use and too specialized for use in any
other role, leaving the bulk of the task to repurposed light tanks and IFVs.
It was from this that the Brawler was born.
Although still a fairly heavy unit, the Brawler puts its bulk to good use. In
addition to sporting thick armor, the Bralwer brings to the table twin SRM-6
racks and twin RL 10 racks to hammer the opposition. Backing them up are a
pair of medium & small laser combos mounted in sponson turrets, allowing for
both 360-degree combat and the tank to remain in battle once all the ammo has
been exhausted. Supporting this is an anti-infantry machine gun.
Inside the Brawler, one would find a reinforced squad of infantry and an ECM
Suite. In close-quarters environments infantry can prove to be a devastating
opponent, and the fact that the Bralwer has its own internal troop compliment
gives it that much more tactical flexibility. The ECM suite also helps to
cover its tracks, making it that much more dangerous.
The AC/2 does, at least on the surface, stand out a little. It is generally
regarded as a sniping weapon at best, making its inclusion seemingly
pointless. However, the AC/2 allows for the Brawler to snipe targets that
might be trying to enter the town in the first place, chipping away at them or
laying them to rest entirely thanks to the new AC ammo types.
