For some reason this 'Mech reminded me of Kuritan Daikyu. Upon closer look these two aren't that similar, but the impression remained. I must say that I definitely like the Martel. It can walk around, shrugging off hits and spitting projectiles at respectable range. It's no clan killer, but it's still better than most. If there is something missing here, then it would be the absence of any real crit sinks in side torsoes. A crit to either of these will hit the ammo, but the CASE should keep you relatively safe. Sooner or later you'll also run out of ammo, but in most battles this will hardly cause any trouble. A nice piece of military hardware here.

Thanks for the kind words SD, I'm glad that you liked the design. Smile I agree with you on the lack of crit sinks. I had toyed with the idea of keeping one of the AC/5's in the arm and moving the other into the Right Torso. (Or switching out a ton of Ammo for armor/Artemis I) Would you recommend the change? (I have trouble working out firing arcs.)

Thank you again for your constructive criticism!

A tough call... If you really want the Artemis FCS instead of the LRM ammo, then It wouldn't be a problem to replace the CASE in LT and perhaps 0.5 t of armour with two small lasers (or even more armour for an ECM suite, or active probe), which I'd place in RT. The LRM launcher could be relocated to LT then.

Not that I'd like it too much tough... : /
