habitable planet which is an ag planet known as Haleon III. So named for the
system, of which it is the third planet, and which in turn gets its name from
the nebula which is the one distinguising feature in the region.

Haleon Station is crewed only by a few scientists and the bare minimum of crew
needed to maintain the station in working order. Kept supplied by a small
fleet of jumpships, and paying for the supplies they need by selling some of
their creations, the station is self supporting. Also getting foodstuffs from
Haleon III, and in return trading advanced medical services and medicine to
its people.

==Capabilities:==
The Haleon Station is a marvel of engineering. A fully combat capable station,
it has a thick hide of lamellor-carbide armor strong enough to withstand a
major battle fleet. It is also armed with more weapons than any known warship
by far, with the exception of the Hammer of Light and Hammer of Mercy, the two
behemoths created here and crewed by fanatical members of the families of
those who work on the station. So well equipped with weapons in fact that it
can outshoot a McKenna class battleship about 2:1, and a hide so thick it
could take fire from many more than that.

Possible Idea for introducing the twin hammers to my own little Battletech universe. where I play there has been no jihad(not yet anyway. trying to decide if I want to eventually follow along with the canon stuff or not). Let me know what you think, what could be better, ect., ect.

The pirate jumpship sat in silence, recharging itself wth the massive solar sail. It was well aware of the two smaller Marik warships closing on the calndestine jump point, but lacked the power to do anything about it. The pirate captain was already in communication with the Marik commander, making his excuses and reasons for being somewhere he shouldn't. The jumpship had no weapons, so the captain was attempting to use persuasion and bribes. Suddenly, there was a brief twinkle, a short distortion in the comm traffic, and It exploded into view.

It was a warship, but not like any warship the Mariks or pirates had ever seen. Scans showed it to be 1300 meters long and having a mass close to two million tons, bristling with weaponry. The Marik captain immediately hailed the newcomer, demanding to know its origin and destination. The only answer was the silent hammer symbol painted on the front of the golden mystery vessel floating overhead.Then it began to roll over to starboard.

As the Marik captain furiously gave commands to fire, fire and lightening began to poar from the starboard side batteries of the interloper, like the light of doom poured forth from a giant gilded chalice. Rockets lanced forth from the FWL vessel, but it was too little too late. As the giant warship finished its roll, massive shells and lasers continued to rip into the first Marik ship, striking sensitive engine and life support systems. There was a mute explosion, then two more as the FWL warship began to fall away, a gutted sputtering hulk. The second Marik vessel did not lay idle, and beggan to close, firing its own weapons, attempting to exploit the meager damage caused by its now dead twin. Then the second mystery vessel winked into view.

The second unknown appeared more ann armored cruiser, but was no less deadly than its larger cousin. As the remaining FWL warship was engaging the first intruder, It began to charge its forward batteries and load naval grade Guass weapons. A small flotilla of fighters and assault dropships began to deploy from the second vessel, chasing down the first stricken Marik ship, dealing death to escape pods, fighters, and the vessel it self. Once at full power capacity, it fired on the second FWL ship.

The Mariks had been busy, laying into the monolith above with everything they had, dealing massive amounts of damage to the wraith warship. But it was just not enough. They had already sustained several critical hits, and now were coming under the combined fire of two warships, either of which seriously out weighed and out gunned them. It was just a matter of time before the inevitable conclusion. The captain gave the order to retreat.

In the end, it was a lucky strike by the carrier that killed the Marik warhips. Hit to the bridge from the first vessel, then multiple blows to the engine section put it out of commision. The two hammer marked warships continued to pour on the firepower until the FWL ship was unrecognizable. The already deployed fighters and dropships closed into to clean up any remaining resistance. It had all happened so quickly, those aboard the pirate jumpship were frozen in place.

The pirate leader attempted to hail the looming vessels. There was no vocal response. The mystery ships just hung there in space above the jumpship. Then there was a single command from one warship to the other.

"No witnesses"

It did not take long to put the jumpship out of commission. Once again the fighters swarmed in to wipe out any survivors. The first warship, designation "Queen of Light" began to lower herself closer to the flickering hulks to began the process of possible salvage and repair as the second vessel, designation "Prince of Peace" drifted in to recall the remaining fighter elements. Explosive charges were to be placed on the scorched hulls of the FWL ruins to decompress them and do away with any remaining survivors.Thus the Innersphere was introduced to the twin Hammers. The Hammer of Light and the Hammer of Mercy were going to war.



*edit* please excuse the grammar and spelling errors. I threw this together a bit quickly and have not gone over it thoroughly yet.

I like it, and I think Vagabond should create the bridge crew for the HoM if you decide to use my crews (If I understood your PM right you are...).

I think this will end up being a very cool collaboration Wink


A a side note: Vagabond and I will soon be engaging our giant simulator battle between 2x HoL vs. 3x HoM. We're still generating all of our dropships and fighters and such before we go to it. I can't wait Wink

I think I have my aerospace fighter the 75 ton Thunderbolt posted here somewhere. As it is a groundZero creation, would stand to reason it would be found on either or both warships.

Unique Features:
Very dense asteroid belt between the 5th and 6th planets.
The majority of the system is surrounded by the Haleon Nebula. This nebula is a dense cloud of gas that interferes with ship sensors and contains many hidden dangers, including most of the asteroid belt on its core side. It extends 80% of the way around the system in an arc, as well as far above and below the solar plane and millions of kilometers out past the farthest planet.

Location of Haleon Nebula Station:
The station is located 280 million km from the Zenith jump point. It is 90 million km into the nebula and is located 7 million km above a small group of asteroids that are high in metallic ore content that have been towed up from the asteroid ring for mining for the usage of the station. This, normally a highly expensive procedure due to the fuels costs, was accomplished because of the nebula itself provided the fuel for the tow sleds.

I've been unemployed for about 2 months now, and I'm probably gonna have to shut it off once my current subscription is over (7th or 8th.) Along with cell phone.

Of course, I could still play from the library.

EDIT:

I did run through a 3 HoM vs 2 HoL battle by myself. Out of 10 runs, it came out 4-5 in favor of the HoMs... but all the battles were very very close. More came down to dice luck than anything else Neutral
