OK I had this idea a little while ago and finally got around to finishing them, and writing the fluff. Ive really come to enjoy writing lately (just wish i was better at it) but damn my spelling sucks. Thank you for the spell check Mordel. don't ever remove it.

==Overview:==
For those about to rock! "WE SALUTE YOU"!
Throughout history music and entertainment have always been important to civilization. And in the tradition of all great rock-n-roll bands, the newly formed "Metal Monsters" are quickly gaining popularity as one of the most amazing concerts to go and see of all time.
The new Rock Star Mech is a heavy retrofit of a old Stinger frame. In-fact so much was done to change the internal structure of the light Mech many are calling it a new design. Heavier then its parent by an additional 5 tons, the Rock Star is in no way a fighting vehicle. It is meant for entertainment only.
Externally the Rock Star shares absolutely zero look with the Stinger, The Rock Star is mush more human looking, with some embellishments that set it apart from the old design.
==Capabilities:==
Since this is a non fighting vehicle the RS has a very sleek appearance, with heavy emphasis on full range of motion for all body parts. The 6 known RS mechs are virtually identical with some minor exceptions. They each have their own instruments and actually "play" them on stage. Though it is widely know that they actually don't play on stage or sing during the actual concert they are performing non-the-less as their music is broadcast to the audience.
Several new items were designed for the group to use. 2 guitars (1 lead guitar, 1 Bass) were designed, complete with heavy duty strings so they could play them and people watching could actually see what appears to be strummed strings as they watch the concert (this was added after heavy criticism after their first concert). A portable Drum-set that includes 4 drums and cymbals (this is often left off Mech in favor of a giant portable guitar style synthesizer).
Some other items are standard Mech grenade launchers with special munitions, instead of HE, they use a arburst confetti. this gives a great visual when coupled with the multi setting strobe lights mounted n the shoulders. The Mech grade flamers are dialed down to a pyrotechnics only level, and turret mounted so they can be programed to fire spin and twirl as they perform.
Probably the most impressive item that was created is the Myomer Control Computer, (M.C.C.) What this does is actually help to run the fine motor skills of the performance, as the pilots concentrate on controlling 30 tons of metal as it spins and moves around a giant stage. This controls fingers and arms so they constantly keep up the appearance of playing.
==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==
The 3 musketeers as they are known have been lifelong friends, and have done everything together. Having all met at a very young age, they realized that their love of music was a constant driving force. So they all learned instruments and soon started playing local parties and what not when they were in their mid teens. When it was time to go to enter the mechwarrior academy they have been inseparable for so long many people weren't surprised that they entered the academy together. Though their grades have always been impressive, they struggled with the rules, and the over all oppressive nature of the school.
They are by nature very carefree and easy going, they are also pranksters of the highest order. This is what led to their expulsion. Having entered as mechwarrior candidates they quickly excelled at piloting but very soon started showing intense dislike for military life. Breaking curfew, sneaking out, gambling, and general misconduct meant they walked a very fine line between acceptance and outright expulsion from the school. The final straw was a incident that involved whip-cream, 3 of the headmasters daughters, the headmasters office and P.A. system, and streaking through the office building.
Due to the nature of the incident we have tried gathering as much info as we can (hey were curious as well) and have been told several times that the records are sealed and will remain sealed till all involved members are long since dead. What little we have gotten has come from the band them selves. But even they are under order not to say anything.
