Well this is a pretty quiet a board so I thought I would post this and see what everyone is playing.

I'll start is off.

Just got Castle Crasher and Worms 2: Armageddon, both were 14.99 on the PSNetwork. Lots of fun.

Last disc based game I got was Dragon Age: Awakenings. Not as good as Origins but lots of fun none the less.

Civilization 5 and Disney's Sing It - Family Classics.

I need a new computer, there are a bunch of games comming out for the computer that I know my comp just cant handle.

Civ 5 is one of them.

And my next purchase was just put on hold since the announced that GT5 is being delayed AGAIN!

Anyone planning on getting Lego Universe when that comes out?

Once you figure out the combat system (it takes a bit to get used to) it is so freakin addictive. Its one of the few games that I have litterally been playing since january.

Is Civ 5 worth it? Been thinking of buying it. Does it have multi-player mode as well?

It does have a MP mode, but its advised atm that you don't play past 2 players as the MP function has some quirks with getting people connected. I don't think it has a PBEM function anymore. I swear, the developers keep over concentrating on single player mode, and you'd think in a day and age when networking code to stably connect multiple players is found in the likes of Megamek and Flashgames that are free that a professional developer would have a better system.

As for first player mode, its damned good imho. Its still civilization but now the playing feels far more visible and simple. Gone are the tax sliders and the complicated formulas to change X production into Y. Everything makes a lot of sense and is therefor easy to operate. Combat is also straight forward and gone are the silly occurrences of spear men defeating tanks. However, you can no longer stack combat units and each unit is far more powerful then its equivalent in Civ 4. You'll want to keep units and upgrade them at each age.

Its not perfect. And some issues are annoying at times. But overall, i like it leaps and bounds over Civ 3 and 4.

Sword of the Stars complete collection. Eagerly awaiting Sword of Stars 2 which should be coming out in 2011 sometime. Best 4x game I have played, I love the ship customization and watching my superiorly designed ships trash my opponenets.

SOLD!! I'll give it another month or so and give them a chance to get an update with bug fixes out. Then I'll by myself a copy and try to hook up with someone on here.

I never used the sliders, so that's good news for me. I read a preview about the combat system. I loved stacking units, so that will take me a while to get use to.

So I just picked up a indiegame called Minecraft.

http://www.minecraft.net/

Its a sandbox game that is still in alpha but the creator is selling. Its very simple graphics and requires Java to play. but imagine a world that is basically been inspired by Lego. Its pretty dang fun so far. The nice thing is if you buy it now (over 597000 games have been sold so far) its only 9.95 euros, you get all updates (including the final game update) for free. Iver been playing it for a couple days now and have to admit that it is really very hard. mostly because at night enemies come out and will kill you. But its will worth the price to pick up. I highly suggest picking it up.

Gotta be honest, no. Was saving up for Christmas and our Disney trip. But, now that that's over, it'll be on my "buy" list. Smile

I got DC Universe a couple of weeks ago. A real MMO on the PC and PS3. I got it on the PS3 and crap is it addictive!

Great story and opening movie. They brought back a lot of the JL cartoons voice actors do play the main characters again.

Basic story rundown (with out to many spoilers) Luthor goes back in time to the present day and releases Exobites into the atmosphere, these were created by Brainiac to steal hero's powers. By doing this a bunch of new Hero's and Villains are formed to fight Brainiac in the future.

So you get to create your Hero's or Villains, and get to select their powers.

There is a monthly fee of 15 dollars a month, but they have already planned their first update for later in Feb. And are saying they are going to give updates every month or so.

Its not perfect but enjoyable, if you are playing it drop me a line I'm in the Justice server.
