This was created for the campaign I'm running.
A particular faction has access to a large quantity of 3R Stingers.
This variation was created as an in-the-field modification for use by commandos, covert ops types, and undercover types that could improve the punch and longevity of the mech while still superficially appearing to be a regular 3R; by the time someone comes to realize that they're up against a 3RJ, it's usually too late and they're about to get it.
Thoughts?
Thanks. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Is there a reason you don't create these in the TRO section? Is it cumbersome? If I created a way for you to create a topic; or even auto-created a topic for each new submission, would that make it more enticing for you to use the TRO submissions? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

For the most part, when I do up designs it's "I'm experimenting with something, and so I don't know how well it'll go over."
No need clogging the TRO with designs that people may not like. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

also, if you could work out a script that takes HMP files and generates a basic design that you double check and then approve for submission, it would greatly aid the process. Also if this script could do it also for the file format of solaris skunk werks that would be a big bonus. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Wouldn't worry about. There's a ton of designs up there that people probably don't like. What's a few more?

Can you put in an enhancement request in the tracking system for me? I have a java equivalent of reading in the HMP files already. I would just need to convert that to PHP. SSW I'd have to figure out.
I've actually been considering, for quite some time, creating a new XML construct for sharing Mech designs. I was gonna call it MechML. It would be an open format that would allow for the easy sharing of mech designs, regardless of the creation source, provided they allowed output in MechML format.
