I'm not trying to troll and I'm not a lunatic. As I posted on the first thread of this topic, I'm trying to give you a heads up. If you're so confident that the word "Munchkins" is okay to use derogatorily on for profit message boards, then by all means post as many hate filled messages about munchkins on the
bg.battletech.com/forums
as you want. In fact, if you're so confident that the word "Munchkins" is so okay to use derogatorily, then how about you and each member, including each administrator and each moderator of
bg.battletech.com/forums
post 25 hate filled messages on those forums. And if you're absolutely confident the word "Munchkins" is so okay to use derogatorily, then how about you email Chunga to have him/her require on the rules webpage of
bg.battletech.com/forums
that each new member must post 25 hate and defamatory filled messages about munchkins.
Or, you can absolutely and unconditionally concede now and forever that the most munchy player (HeroChip according to Skyhigh of www.Solaris7.com) must be the sole person that playtests all products related to Total Warfare.

Actually hate-mongering and spaming forums with messages like that is what gets you banned on most message boards, rather than calling someone munchkin. BTW most of your designs, like the Dandelion, look rather munchkin... _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

I agree with Sleeping Dragon. I doubt Dunkin Donuts is going to come after anyone using munchkin in any form unless they call their food that and charge money for it. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

They couldn't anyway...the word existed long before Dunkin Donuts called their doughnut holes that. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Okay, are you now ready to support having Chunga immediately and unconditionally and permanently having a new rule on the rules webpage of bg.battletech.com/forums
that says your signature of every message you post on those forums must advocate absolute hatred of munchkins and the obliteration of everybody that supports them? Or are you now ready to admit that the munchiest TW player (Chip Burcham) must be given all playtesting powers and authority to playtest all TW related products?

Now if someone made a cat shaped biscuits and called them Munchkin Kitties - that could be interesting.
I don't even think that saying that said food sucks and tastes rather vile shouldn't be viewed as illegal, as I can express my oppinion. Suing people for criticism of a product wouod be a good business considering how many critical reviews I've read on electronics and game products. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

And what does that all have in common with being or not being sued for talking derogatively about munchkins? And what authority do you think locals have over foreign forums? _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Hmmm, now I see what this is about. You are now in violation of posting policy #10. If it continues you will be banned. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

So if I called a design a munchkin design knowing that folks will get the point or argue it's not based on the game rules etc...or telling a player who wants to use a ninja in 10th Century Italy in ANY RPG that they are a munchkin for wanting to do so I am being mean and cruel? Wow...okay then. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

If a trademark is wrongfully used on a for profit business forum, then the owner of that for profit business forum can be sued. While a restaurant chain like Dunkin' Donuts might not have authority over bg.battletech.com/forums, the owner of Dunkin' Donuts can lobby the President to have Echelon programmed to block access to those forums. If you think I still don't know what I'm talking about, then go ahead and use the word "Munchkins" in your signature on those forums as derogatorily as much as you want. Or, have the munchiest player Chip Burcham along with what appears to be the other munchiest player Bob Richter be sole persons that playtest all TW related products.

About the only way "suing someone for criticism of a product" could work IIRC is if the critic said something that was both blatantly false *and* had the direct potential to harm sales.
"The glaze on my donuts tasted like paste" would be legal.
"The glaze on those donuts is actually paste with a little bit of sugar added to it" might get someone a visit from a lawyer. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat."
