Does anyone use BV1 anymore? I'm thinking of removing it from my submission code. It takes time to implement and is about 1300 lines of code (a little less than 10% of the total).

Would anyone miss it if it were gone?

junk it. if they want BV1, they can rebuild the unit in HMPro or SSW.

I'm ok with dropping BV1 too.

Is this an occasion for me to use the word "ambivalent" for the first time?

It could be, for you. But ambivalence in this case is essentially the same as abstaining from voicing an opinion for or against. Given chihawk's demand, it's all but a certainty now.

Actually, I already started gutting the code of BV1 calcs. I'm likely going to start implementing mixed tech soon (since I've been thinking about it a lot lately) and ripping out 10% of the code will definitely help.

I can't think of a single time I used it, and as Vagabond mentioned, you can still use HMP if you need to know the BV1 of a unit.

Just clearly label it "BV2"...the discussions of TotalCon prove that it being clearly marked is important.

Well, that's what I'm actually doing. BV1 might only have one thing speaking for it and that's compatibility with the older books, but I think this has been already remedied by free BV lists of all units and of course HMPro.

Dump it. No sense in keeping large amounts of code for a dated system.
