No, you don't. |
Actually, per the rules, you do. The simultaneous movement rules as defined in Tactical Operations declare that the Charge/DFA happens during the physical attack phase, not the movement phase. So you do lose the ability to fire the weapons. That's the official rule. Now, over time maybe I'll determine I don't like that. But for now, that's the way it's being played. Like I said, the default is to NOT Charge/DFA unless you specifically indicate you want to.

He's asking that if in his orders he indicates he's OK with the charge/DFA and there's no one there does he lose his fire. The answer to that is no, he does not.

OK, I just read the abbreviated question you quoted. But yes, if you declare a Charge/DFA in the event a 'Mech is there that you won initiative against, and no one is there (or a 'Mech that won initiative against you is there), you do not lose your weapons attack that turn.

Meh. For one firing phase. And only once I did the maths and realised no way was he gonna fire on me.
Doing more maths it's nigh-on inevitable that you'll win if you destroy Pinhead. So I'll take a lucky pot shot when I get it.

You could have fired at them both...take the LPL potshot at Pinny and a couple MPL at Chunga.

Actually, because the winner is point based you should have fired everything at Chunga. The LPL rips open a side torso if you hit there, and then you're dancing around with all the other weapons.
With Pinny only a CT hit scores anything for you.

I've added a new table to all the firing results posts. The new table is Turn X Scoring and lists each player that was alive at the start of the turn and how many points and kills they were credited with for the given turn. This will allow you to see just how well you scored. Maybe you did a lot of damage, but it was all armor, so didn't add up to a lot of points. Or maybe you hit with just a couple things, but it was all structural and crits!

I've also just updated the Player List table in the main post. It is now sorted first by Points (high to low), then Kills (if points are equal; high to low), then by player # (if points and kills are equal; low to high). Additionally, there is a new column to show when each player was eliminated (e.g., Turn 7).
