I have never really been a fan of Artemis on SRMs, for the same tonnage you can deploy SRM 6s and do not have to worry about enemy ECM and if the gods of fate decree you can do more than average damage as well. _________________ The JadeDragon

From a pure numbers standpoint, I'd say you're correct. Adding Artemis to an SRM/T 4 on an average roll of 7 still only gets you 3 missiles, as both a 7 and 9 are 3. Artemis on an SRM 6, however, is worth it. A roll of 7 for that will get you 4 missiles, but push that up to 9 with the Artemis and you get 5 missiles. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Oh yeah! There's a while host of 'Mechs these days designed for underwater use. The amount I've been inputting with HarJel and UMUs had been quite high. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Not to mention you get 25 reloads instead of 15, which may be handy occasionally. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Bombarding the enemy? 25 reloads is practically a no-brainer to fire in single engagements with one launcher even for near impossible shots or it's a decent amount for two. With SRM 6 it feels all right to have one ton per launcher, but splitting is not much of an option and deeper raids might see you with three ton paperweight pretty soon. This Avatar would probably do better with one ton of SRTs unless the idea was to keep the SRTs available in case of arm flooding. Not that the torso couldn't support the ammo (and once you get torso flooded you're dead anyway with the Avatar). _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

A world where Kevin Costner is running around pretending to be a postman, of course. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I hope it's better than that....
A world covered 95% water. Civilization have moved underwater. Now all warfare is done underwater.
That sounds like a hell of a way to fight... hint, hint.... _________________ Sir Henry

Tried it once. The game lasted like 4 turns. But that was before HarJel, MASS, and UMUs. So I just may... _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
