I pushed out some updates tonight. Some of what was done was to lay the groundwork for further enhancements, but here is a short list of some of the stuff.
- Added ability to generate a Record Sheet (*.pdf) of any BattleMech. Currently works for all Biped designs, but is missing quite a bit of info for Quads. I'm going to work on completing the quad stuff over the coming weeks, but considering a vast majority of designs are bipedal, I figured I wouldn't wait.
- Added ability to generate a MegaMek file (*.mtf) of any BattleMech
- Added the ability to filter the BattleMech list view. It currently only allows you to filter on Source, but I plan on updating this to allow much more filtering flexibility.
- Changed menu so you now see Units --> BattleMechs instead of Technical Readouts --> BattleMechs. Also removed the TRO listings from the menu. If you want to see all designs that were in TRO3025 or RS3025, you would select that source from the filter. (Note that I added only a couple sources to start, but will be adding more over time to a minimum of what I had before, but also inputting newer designs).
- Modified the workflow so when you filter and sort the BattleMech view, and then view a BattleMech, it remembers where you were with regards to column sorting, page and filter. This way the Previous/Next arrows will now work based on your current filtering, and when you return to View / Search it will remember where you were.
I'll be updating more over the coming weeks, and will keep everyone posted. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Just updated the View listing and replaced 'Member' with 'Designer'. Further, if the design is a standard design, the Designer will show as 'Catalyst Game Labs' as opposed to me (or whomever actually entered the design into the site). _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

When further enhancing the TRO section, I would strongly suggest "freezing" the current line-up of official designs. As I once stated, it's an invaluable resource to recheck the old 1990s/early00s print RS volumes (which I at times even used to cross-check designs for the current official RS PDFs).
Once you have those safely stowed away in an archive section, they could be used to update the current listings. _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

Can I ask what you mean? I know designs are re-listed in various sources (e.g., RS:3039), but viewing those designs will still list TRO3025 and RS3025 & #026. So it will list all sources they appear in. So, if you wanted to see what was in Record Sheet 3025 & 3026, you would view BattleMechs, and then filter on that specific source. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

So you'd be presenting concurrent filters? Like 3025&3026 or 3039?
Well, that would take care of RS 3060, RS 3067 and RS Upgrades variants now being relocated in RS 3050U and RS 3058U (and others).
There were numerous subtle errata for those old sheets (hand and arm actuators), would you update that? Because that would subtly change the archive feel of it all. _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I'm not reviewing them that closely. So if there are subtle differences, I'm likely to miss them. We can always create a "variant" of the original with the same name (will just take me a few seconds to make a small code tweak). Then we can select the original for the older record sheets and the "variant" for the newer ones. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
