Bebopping around the net as I so often do these days, I came across this little site: http://pri.mgonetwork.com/dl_featured.php
While normally this wouldn't be worth mentioning, but for one download... the Japanese 'Mechs. While they DEFINATELY aren't akin to their American counterparts, but they are... interesting. And for quite a few of theme we could use them as replacements for the unseen (tho many a people would gripe...)

The only gripe would be that some are to Animeish for the feel of BT...but that is a small price to pay to get the Unseen back IMVHO.

Some of those have been used already. Check the original Solaris VII boxed set. The Japaneese Marauder was revamped as the (rats, can't remember name), the Stinger and Wasp became the Tsunami and (another one, with another Japenese name), and the Locust became the Koto.
The Drawing Board should have the stats for them now, as should Heavy Metal.
