my "nonofficial" rules for image identification missiles
Image Identification Missiles (IIMs) use cameras and image identification software to identify targets to home in on; these missiles follow the rules for guided missiles such as normal LRMs/normal SRMs/normal Thunderbolt missiles/other standard missiles including capital & subcapital misiles except for teleoperated missiles (but not MRMs unless using rule #2, and certainly not dead fire missiles) with the following exceptions:
1, each IIM requires a full 10 second game turn to memorize the image of the target their image recognition guidance system has LOS to;
2, if LOS becomes lost or hindered, then the IIM can't automatically hit its target after it has abided by rule #1, but its launcher may try to aim and launch that IIM (or multiple IIMs) towards said target as if IIM is a normal MRM missile;
3, any IIM can be destroyed by AMS, laser AMS, or point defense weaponry preventing said IIM from hitting (including automatically hitting) a target said IIM is launched towards;
4, if LOS is resumed to said target said IIM had LOS to, then the IIM can automatically hit its target provided that IIM isn't destroyed;
5, clouds, smoke, woods, and jungle modifiers have their to-hit modifiers multiplied by 4 for each IIM attack;
6, calculate the BV of an IIM by doubling normal ammo BV & its launcher's BV as if both were a comparable normal missile & launcher;
7, an IIM is targeting computer compatible but glancing blows rules missile hits penalty modifier is doubled when using image identification guidance
8, how much should an IIM cost?
do any/all of you have recommendation(s)? _________________ any BT information that i post should not be considered official BT information unless said BT information that i post can be legally quoted from a published up to date BT product
